At close today (3pm China time), the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 3668.90 points (down 3.96%), but not quite as bad as the Shenzhen Exchange, which closed at 12489.021 (down 5.44%).
Just an indication of how badly the Shanghai Index has been performing since the start of the month:

A couple of big losers today on the Shanghai Market:
| 国电电力 | 6.98 | -9.94% |
| 西宁特钢 | 14.35 | -9.92% |
While I'd like to make some positive remarks, it is pretty difficult.
